Tigers Sweep Home Saturday Doubleheader, Improves To 6-2

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou tennis dominated the opposition Saturday at the Mizzou Tennis Complex, as they defeated both IUPUI and Missouri State, 7-0. Sophomore Beatriz Machado Santos led the way for the Tigers, finishing a perfect 4-0 in today's matches.
Junior Kelli Hine, sophomore Cassidy Spearman, junior Madison Rhyner, and sophomore Brittany Lashway also turned in unblemished days for Mizzou, as they each finished with combined 3-0 records between singles and doubles.
All eight Tiger tennis players reached the win column Saturday. Freshman Clare Raley (2-0), senior Alex Clark (1-0) and freshman Brianna Lashway (1-0) rounded out the impressive all-around day for Mizzou.
Hine's two singles wins today improved her current winning streak to six matches. Santos' pair of victories kept her perfect spring singles record intact, as she now stands at 4-0 this season.
Brittany Lashway continued her early success in doubles play this season with two more victories Saturday. Alongside partners Spearman and Santos, Lashway has accumulated a perfect 4-0 mark in doubles competition so far this spring.
Mizzou continues Spring 2015 non-conference action next weekend in Lincoln, Neb. The Tigers square off against Colorado State on Saturday, Feb. 14, and follow with a matchup against Nebraska on Sunday, Feb. 15. First serve for both matches is set for 11 a.m. (CT).
