COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Football was once again well represented during week seven of NFL action, as Kony Ealy, Jacquies Smith and Aldon Smith all had productive outings. Below is a look at how all of the #MizzouMade standouts fared in week seven.
Tim Barnes – C – St. Louis Rams
The Rams lost Sunday's divisional matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, 27-3. Barnes and the offensive line struggled as the Rams gained only 66 rushing yards on the day. St. Louis (4-8) fell into a tie for fourth-place in the NFC West. They will take on the Detroit Lions next week.
Beau Brinkley – LS – Tennessee Titans
Brinkley snapped for six extra-points and three punts in Tennessee's 42-39 victory over the Jaguars on Sunday. The Titans snapped a three-game losing streak with the victory. They are in last place in the AFC South division. Tennessee will travel to take on the New York Jets.
Justin Britt – OL – Seattle Seahawks
Britt and the Seahawks offensive line played well in a 38-7 blowout over the Minnesota Vikings. The Seattle offense generated 433 total yards and gave up only two sacks. Seattle finds itself three games behind the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC West division. The Seahawks will face the Baltimore Ravens next week.
Chase Coffman – TE – Tennessee Titans
The Seattle Seahawks signed Coffman last week. He will help the team fill a void at the tight end position while having an opportunity to compete on a playoff contending squad.
Chase Daniel – QB – Kansas City Chiefs
Daniel did not play in a 34-20 victory over their division rivals, the Oakland Raiders, on Sunday. The victory marked the sixth straight win for the Chiefs. Kansas City (7-5) finds itself three games behind the Denver Broncos in the AFC West but in control of a Wild Card berth. They will play the San Diego Chargers next week.
Kony Ealy – DE – Carolina Panthers
Ealy recorded one tackle in Carolina's 41-38 victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Carolina advanced to 12-0 on the season with the win. They clinched the NFC South division for the third straight year. The Panthers will defend their undefeated record next week vs. the Atlanta Falcons.
Blaine Gabbert – QB – San Francisco 49ers
Gabbert threw a game-winning 71-yard touchdown in overtime Sunday to defeat the Chicago Bears 26-20. He completed 18-of-32 passes for a total of 196 yards and one touchdown. Gabbert has played well after taking over the starting job from Colin Kaepernick in week nine, throwing for 963 yards and a quarterback rating of 89.5
Andrew Gachkar – LB – Dallas Cowboys
Gachkar and the Cowboys got back into the playoff race in the NFC East with a 19-16 win over the Redskins on a last second field goal in DC. Gachkar had a lone tackle in the Dallas win as the Cowboys are now 4-8 on the season.
Markus Golden – LB – Arizona Cardinals
Golden recorded one tackle in the Cardinals' 27-3 victory over the St. Louis Rams. Golden has impressed in his rookie year, logging 22 tackles, 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble. The 10-2 Cardinals are first in the NFC West by three games. His performance this season has drawn praise from fellow #MizzouMade teammate Sean Weatherspoon. Jeremy Maclin – WR – Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Raiders 34-20 Sunday, moving 7-5 on the season. Maclin pulled in nine catches for 95 yards and two touchdowns. He now has 66 receptions for 867 yards and five touchdowns on the year. The Chiefs (7-5) have won six games in a row and are now in the hunt for a playoff berth despite opening the season 1-5.
William Moore – S – Atlanta Falcons
Moore recorded two tackles in the Falcons' 23-19 loss Sunday. Moore has contributed 49 tackles and two interceptions for the 6-6 Falcons, who are second in NFC South standings.
Mitch Morse – C – Kansas City Chiefs
Morse sat out Sunday's win over the Raiders with a concussion. The 7-5 Chiefs have rebounded after suffering five straight losses in the beginning of the season.
C.J. Mosley – DT – Miami Dolphins
Mosley injured his calf earlier this season and that caused him to be waived by the Dolphins on Dec. 1 to make room for more healthy players at the DT position.
Marcus Murphy – RB/PR – New Orleans Saints
Murphy had two punt returns for a total of seven yards against Carolina. The Saints fell, 41-38, to Carolina in an NFC South divisional clash. Murphy has tallied 27 punt returns in his rookie season.
Shane Ray – DE – Denver Broncos
Ray helped the defensive line shut down the Chargers and earn a 17-3 win. He added one sack to his total of four tackles. It was Ray's fourth game back since he was out with an MCL injury. The rookie has 12 tackles this season despite missing time with his MCL injury.
Jacquies Smith – DE – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Smith was one of three inactive lineman vs. the Falcons due to a hamstring injury. He has been battling injuries for the last month, missing two games in November after a sprained ankle. In nine games this season, Smith has nearly equaled his career high with six sacks to go along with three fumble recoveries.
Sean Weatherspoon – LB – Arizona Cardinals
Weatherspoon returned to Missouri in a matchup against the St. Louis Rams. He did not record a statistic in the 27-3 win over the Rams. The 27-year-old veteran linebacker was brought in during the offseason to be a starting linebacker, but he missed most of training camp with a hamstring injury. However, he did have some high praise for fellow #MizzouMade Cardinal teammate Markus Golden.
