COLUMBIA, Mo. – Senior Kelli Hine was tabbed No. 89 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Division I women's tennis preseason rankings, as announced by the ITA on Tuesday, Sept. 15. The New Braunfels, Texas, native finished the 2015 spring season by cracking the polls at No. 125 in Division I and jumped 36 spots heading in to this year's fall campaign.
This is the highest ranking of Hine's career. She competed at No. 1 singles for Mizzou last season and tallied three wins over nationally ranked opponents (No. 28 Erin Routliffe of Alabama, No. 42 Georgiana Patrasc of Mississippi State and No. 85 Nadia Ravita of Kentucky) during the spring campaign.
After Mizzou opens up its fall season at the Mizzou Invitational in Kansas City this weekend, Hine returns to the courts on Oct. 6 at the ITA/Riviera All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, California. The tournaments hosts the best competition in the nation to prepare select student-athletes for the spring season and the NCAA Tournament.
