In June, former Mizzou Volleyball All-American Whitney Little was added to the Dresdner Sportclub German professional team. Little joins a line of former Mizzou Volleyball players to play for Dresdner SC, as Molly Kreklow also competed for them in 2015 and won a Bundesliga Championship in the process.

Below is a journal entry from Whitney, as she discusses her experience so far in Germany! 

Hey there Tiger fans! I come to you from across the pond in Germany! 

I'm playing in Dresden, which is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been too --- let alone lived in! I have just passed my one month mark of being in Germany and I have to say it went by much faster than I could have imagined! I'm lucky enough to currently be here with two other Americans: Katie Slay and Gina Mancuso. Setting up my new life here was a little difficult at first. Finding the closest Starbucks helped a lot but of course we came to Germany during one of the hottest heat waves of the century --- and no they don't have air conditioning here so you can imagine my never ending sweat life! 

However, we did arrive just in time for one of the biggest festivals in the state of Saxony and let me tell you --- it didn't disappoint! We saw and ate some amazing things and met a lot of new friends which helped with the transition of being away from home. The team, coaches and staff are super nice and friendly. They even taught this girl how to drive a stick shift and count to 15 in German!

We have two-a-days during the week and have weekends off which allows us to take little get-a-way adventures. Last weekend, Gina, Katie and I packed our bags and set out for Münich! We had the time of our lives being able to be tourists in this beautiful country and experiencing this new European life, and maybe seeing a little bit of Oktoberfest. All in all, I'm loving it here in Dresden, Germany, and can't wait for the season to start this October!
