Mizzou Men's Basketball announced the hire of Steve Shields as Special Assistant to the Head Coach last Thursday (Aug. 6). Shields recently spent 12 seasons as head coach at Arkansas-Little Rock, guiding the Trojans to 192 wins and snapping a 21-year NCAA Tournament drought with an appearance at The Big Dance in 2011.

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Men's Basketball announced the addition of Steve Shields as Special Assistant to the Head Coach last Thursday (Aug. 6), bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program's staff. Shields recently spent 12 seasons as head coach at Arkansas-Little Rock, guiding the Trojans to 192 wins and snapping a 21-year NCAA Tournament drought with an appearance at The Big Dance in 2011.
