COLUMBIA, Mo. – A program record 19 members of the Mizzou swimming and diving program were named Scholar All-Americans by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced on Wednesday (July 1). In all, the Tigers had 12 first team Scholar All-Americans and seven honorable mention selections. Mizzou's previous highs were 18 total honorees in 2014 and 10 first team selections in 2013.

To qualify for Individual Scholar All-America recognition, a student-athlete must have a 3.5 or higher GPA (cumulative or term) and have competed at the NCAA Championships. Honorable mention honors are awarded to individuals with a 3.5 or higher GPA and NCAA "B" standard times in swimming or competed at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships.

Seven Tiger women earned first team Scholar All-America honors in 2015: Danielle Barbiea, Sharli Brady, Abby Duncan, Rachel Hayden, Anna Patterson, Lauren Reedy and Hannah Stevens. Additionally, Alexa Beckwith, Lauren Callin, Ellie Suek and Kira Zubar earned honorable mention accolades.

On the men's side Alex Glogoza, Carter Griffin, Igor Kozlovskij, Matthew Margritier and Andrew Phillips were all named to the first team, while Elliot Cecil, Nick Davis and Mitchell Forde were honorable mention selections. 

The announcement comes one day after the CSCAA named both the women's and men's programs Scholar All-America Teams for the spring semester after team GPAs of 3.34 and 3.13, respectively.
