Kan Shines In USA World University Games Team Match vs. Korean Pro Team

Mizzou volleyball junior Carly Kan had a strong showing today for USA's World University Games Team, as they defeated Korean professional team KGC (3-2) in a friendly exhibition match prior to the start of the World University Games.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou volleyball junior Carly Kan had a strong showing today for USA's World University Games Team, as they defeated Korean professional team KGC (3-2) in a friendly exhibition match prior to the start of the World University Games.

The Honolulu, Hawaii, native started in two sets for Team USA, and produced seven points on six kills in 11 attempts and one ace. Kan had zero errors along the way, and gave her an outstanding .545 hitting percentage.

"It's great to see Carly performing at such a high level with the USA World University Games Team," Mizzou volleyball head coach Wayne Kreklow said. "She was one of the team's most effective players Wednesday, as her hitting percentage was off the charts. We can't wait to see her continue to compete at the World University Games this summer."
