Hudyn Selected for Canadian Development National Team

Mizzou women's basketball senior Michelle Hudyn earned a spot on the Canada Basketball Development Women's National Team, it was announced Thursday.

TORONTO – Mizzou women's basketball senior Michelle Hudyn earned a spot on the Canada Basketball Development Women's National Team, it was announced Thursday. She was selected for the roster after participating in a tryout from June 6-9 at the University of Toronto's Goldring Centre.

Hudyn, a 6-2 forward from Kitchener, Ontario, will represent her native country at the FISU (International University Sports Federation) Games in Gwangju, South Korea, from July 5-13 in an international competition that brings together students from around the world.

Hudyn has averaged 2.1 points and 2.1 rebounds per game in 74 contests (11 starts) throughout her three-year Mizzou career. She played in 23 games (11 starts) in 2014-15, averaging 4.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per contest. Her 11 blocks ranked second on the team. Hudyn is majoring in Biology.
