COLUMBIA, Mo. - University of Missouri Assistant Swimming Coach Andrew Grevers was named the Mizzou Coach of the Year at the 2015 ROARS in April.
Grevers, who completed his fifth season as an assistant at Mizzou in 2015, is the lead sprint coach for the men's and women's swimming squads. This past season, Grevers helped the men's team finish a program high 11th at the NCAA Championships, while the women tied their program best with a 14-place finish.
At the Men's Championships, Grevers helped the Tigers earn All-America first team honors in the 200 free relay, the men's team's first ever top-eight relay finish. Missouri also earned honorable mention honors in the 400 free relay and 200 and 400 medley relays. Additionally sophomore Michael Chadwick finished fifth (first among Americans) in the 100 free at the meet.
On the women's side, two Mizzou relays earned All-America first team honors for the first time in program history, including a fourth-place finish in the 400 medley relay. Senior Danielle Barbiea closed out her Tiger career seventh in the 100 fly to mark her first individual first team All-America honors.
