SO FAR THIS SEASON...
The Tigers have had a successful start to the season, with ten athletes making their marks on the All-Time Top Ten lists during the first four meets. Included in that list is junior Will Crocker, who timed through with the No. 4 performance in Mizzou history for the 1500m run, crossing in 3:43.66 at last weekend's Stanford Invitational. Crocker is also one of four Tigers currently sitting in the top ten of the NCAA for their respective events, holding the No. 3 time in the event thus far this season.
Other top ten-ranked individuals include junior Markesh Woodson who holds the No. 9 time in the 100m dash so far this season with his 10.24 performance at the Texas Relays. On the women's side, seniors Jill Rushin and Kearsten Peoples both fall in the top ten of the shot put rankings, coming in at No. 2 (17.04m / 55-11) and No. 7 (16.23m / 53-3), respectively.
Crocker will be featured in Saturday's 800m run, while Peoples and Rushin will both double in Friday's discus and Saturday's shot put competitions. Peoples will also join fellow-senior Camille Hackamack in the hammer throw on Saturday morning.
The men's triple jump will feature a pair of All-Time Top Ten members, including freshman John Warren who jumped the No. 7 All-Time mark at the season-opening Texas Relays (15.62m / 51-3). Joining him in the field is junior Tony Carodine, who currently sits at No. 5 in the Mizzou record books with his 2014 PR (15.64m / 51-3.75).
The women's triple jump will also see a newcomer to the All-Time Top Ten lists, as freshman Shammai Ilis hit the No. 3 mark in school history during the Bobcat Invitational three weeks ago (12.31m / 40-4.50).
In the throwing events, freshman Ally Zerbe and and sophomore Jennifer Berilla both started their seasons with All-Time Top Ten marks. Zerby currently sits at No. 6 in the history books after tossing 45.11m (148-0) at the Bobcat Invitational (San Marcos, Tx.) three weeks ago. That same weekend, Berilla nudged her way into the No. 10 spot after hitting 39.46m (129-5) at the Black and Gold Invitational in Nashville, Tenn.
