JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Coaches and student-athletes from the 2014-15 Mizzou wrestling team traveled to the Missouri State Capitol Thursday morning, and were recognized for their historical season on the mat. Head Coach Brian Smith, Assistant Coach Joe Johnston, and Volunteer Assistant CoachTodd Schavrien were on-hand for the Tigers, in addition to select student-athletes including 2015 NCAA All-Americans redshirt senior Alan Waters and redshirt freshman Willie Miklus.
This year's Mizzou wrestling team finished the 2014-15 regular season with a perfect 24-0 record and No. 1 national ranking. The 24 wins this past season marked the most in program history, and it was also just the second undefeated season in Tiger Style history (joining 1967-68 Mizzou wrestling team).
Further team accolades during the 2014-15 campaign included a title at the 2015 National Duals Finals, the program's first ever conference regular season championship, their fourth consecutive conference postseason tournament crown, and a fourth place finish at 2015 NCAA Wrestling Championships.

Upon arrival, Tiger Style coaches and wrestlers were honored in front of the Missouri state government on the house floor. Additionally, Coach Smith and his team received unique declarations on the behalf of select state representatives.
Following their recognitions in multiple house floors, the Tigers received an exclusive tour of the State Capitol including a look inside Missouri Governor Jay Nixon's personal office and a walk to the top of the building's infamous dome.
