COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Softball (20-5, 4-2) is set for a midweek clash against border rival Illinois. The two squads will play a neutral-site doubleheader on Wednesday, March 25. The games will be played at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. Start are times are scheduled for 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Lou Brock Softball Complex.

General admission tickets for the pair of games are available for $5. The tickets can be purchased through Lindenwood's ticket office at will call, over the phone or on game day. Phone orders need to be picked up at will call on Wednesday.

With limited seating available at the stadium, it is encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets for seating behind the outfield. Gates will open at 1:30 p.m. CT tomorrow. A map directing fans to appropriate areas for parking can be found here.

Mizzou and Illinois face off for the eighth and ninth times, respectively. The Tigers hold a 6-1 all-time series advantage. The two teams split the doubleheader last year with Mizzou winning the nightcap, 9-6.

The Tigers have won 12 of their last 14 games, but are coming of a series loss at No. 14 Tennessee. Mizzou is ranked No. 10 in the first release of the NCAA Softball RPI and all five of its losses this season have come to Top 25 RPI teams.

Following tomorrow's doubleheader, it will be a showdown between Tigers in a high-profile series this weekend. No. 20 Mizzou faces No. 8 Auburn in a three-game set beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m. Auburn is atop the Southeastern Conference with a perfect 6-0 mark in league play while Mizzou is 4-2 after back-to-back road series to open up SEC action.

Auburn will be the seventh Top 25 foe that that head coach Ehren Earleywine's squad has faced already in 2015. For all the latest on Mizzou Softball, stay tuned to MUTigers.com and follow the team on twitter @MizzouSoftball.
