• The Mizzou-Vandy series is tied up at 4-4, although the Tigers are 2-1 against the Commodores as members of the SEC.
• Sophomore F Johnathan Williams, III recorded his fifth double-double of the season at No. 18 Arkansas with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Tramaine Isabell (13), Jakeenan Gant (11) and Montaque Gill-Caesar (11) helped Mizzou's 5 freshmen combine for 48 points at Arkansas (Feb. 18).
• Williams scored a career-high 27 points vs. Mississippi State (Feb. 14), his third career 20+ point game.
• Senior G Keith Shamburger's 2.7 assist/turnover ratio in SEC action ranks 2nd in the league, while his 4.4 assists/game ranks tied for 4th.
• Mizzou lost sophomore G Wes Clark for the rest of the season after an arm injury at South Carolina (Feb. 10).
• Williams, Mizzou's leading scorer (12.6 PPG), averaged just 5.8 points per game in 2013-14.

A LOOK AT THE OPPONENT... ARKANSAS
• Vanderbilt (14-12, 4-9) has had a late season surge, winning three of its last five Southeastern Conference games, including a road triumph at Alabama (76-68) on Feb. 14. Most recently, the Commodores were barely turned away at Florida, dropping a slim 50-47 result to the Gators on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
• Head coach Kevin Stallings' group is led in the scoring department by sophomore forward Damian Jones, who averages 14.8 points per game, as well as a team-best 6.6 rebounds per game. Jones' 57 offensive rebounds are actually second-best on the squad to senior center James Siakam's 62.
• Vanderbilt scores 69.0 points per game as a team, a mark that ranks sixth-best in the SEC. The Commodores are also in the middle of the pack in scoring defense, allowing 63.4 points per game to rank seventh.
• VU's best attribute is certainly its shooting ability, as the Commodores rank first in the SEC with their 46.4-percent field goal shooting percentage.

LAST TIME
• Mizzou came back to defeat Vanderbilt, 67-64, last season in the two programs' latest meeting on Feb. 19, 2014. The Tigers used an 11-2 run in the games' final minutes to put away the Commodores.
• From that 67-64 victory, Mizzou returned just 23.9-percent of its scoring output to this season's roster. Taking into account the injury to sophomore guard Wes Clark, and the Tigers return 10.4-percent of those 67 points. Johnathan Williams, III scored five points in the win, while Ryan Rosburg added two points.

SERIES HISTORY
• The Tigers and Commodores are an even 4-4 all-time. Mizzou is 2-1 in the two programs' three meetings as members of the Southeastern Conference.
• The first meeting in program history occurred on Dec. 8, 1958, with the Black & Gold-clad Tigers pulling out a 78-72 win in double overtime in Columbia, Mo.

WELCOME, FRESHMEN...
• In the setback at No. 18 Arkansas, there was a bright spot in the play of Mizzou's talented freshmen class, as the group combined for 48 of the Tigers' 69 points.
• Leading the way was guard Tramaine Isabell with 13 points, shooting an efficient 5-of-9 overall and 3-of-5 from three-point range. Scoring 11 points each was forward Jakeenan Gant and guard Montaque Gill-Caesar. D'Angelo Allen added nine points, while Namon Wright scored four points.
• With the games had by Isabell, Gant and Gill-Caesar, it marked just the third time in program history that three freshmen scored in double figures in the same game. According to MU historian Tom Orf, the other two instances are recent: Jan. 14, 2009 vs. Colorado (Bowers, 16; Denmon, 13; English, 12) and Dec. 27, 2008 (Paul, 12; Denmon, 11; Bowers, 10; English, 10).
