FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Records continued to fall for the Tigers on Saturday, as they closed the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.  Topping the list of six personal records that came out of day two was sophomore LaQuisha Jackson, who dropped her school record in the 200m dash down to 23.58.  This was the final big meet weekend of the regular season for the black and gold, as they now look forward to the SEC Championships in two weeks.

SPRINTS
Both Tigers in the 200m dash, the only sprint event of the day, walked out of the Randal Tyson Track Center with new PR marks, starting with Jackson who ran a school record time for the second consecutive meet.  Jackson broke the 1989 record by Natasha Kaiser-Brown for the first time two weeks ago at the Armory Track Invitational, crossing in 23.90.  She demolished that time on Saturday, coming through in 23.58 for 13th overall.

This makes Jackson two-for-two in PR's for the weekend, after she ran the second-fastest time in school history for the 400m dash on Friday (54.50).  Jackson, who entered the weekend ranked in the top 15 for the 60m dash, should add her name to the top 20 list for the 200m dash with that PR performance.

Freshman Kwadarrius Smith also timed through with a PR in the 200m dash, crossing in 21.44 to add his name to the event's All-Time Top Ten list.  Smith opened his Tiger career at the Border Battle with the eighth-fastest 60m dash time in school history (6.86), he now adds a No. 3 All-Time performance in the 200m dash to his resume.

DISTANCE
A few PR performances also came out of the distance races, starting with the women's 3000m run where junior Liz Reida came through with a seventh-place finish in 9:38.57, a ten-second PR and just off from the All-Time Top Ten list.  Sophomore Teylar Adelsberger and senior Courtney Wood also timed through in personal record times, hitting 10:02.94 and 10:11.66, respectively.

On the men's side, junior Sam Dickerson cruised in with a strong finish for second in the field, crossing with a new PR of 8:15.94, less than a second off from knocking teammate Dan Roe out of the All-Time Top Ten list.

FIELD EVENTS
The throws closed out the day once again, with seniors Kearsten Peoples and Jill Rushin taking to the ring for the Invitational Shot Put.  The pair, who have seven All-American honors and three SEC titles in the shot put between them, both sat in the top 15 of the national rankings entering the weekend.  Rushin placed second in Saturday's competition with a top mark of 16.98m (55-8.50), and Peoples took eighth.

Next up for the Tigers will be the Missouri Collegiate Challenge on home on the Hearnes Center Fieldhouse on Friday, February 21.  For the latest on Mizzou Track & Field, stay tuned to MUTigers.com and follow the team on Twitter @MIZ_TrackField.
