Last Time vs. LSU

Scouting the LSU Tigers
The Tigers will see Mizzou after a win against Ole Miss, in which the Tigers topped the Rebels by almost 30 points. Led by Danielle Ballard (13.8 ppg), the Tigers boast three players averaging double-figure scoring numbers. Raigyne Moncrief leads the team in rebounds, grabbing almost seven boards per game this season. Averaging 2.4 steals per game, LSU's Dashawn Harden ranks second in the league. As a team, LSU averages almost 12 steals per game, the second-most in the SEC. The Tigers shoot better than 33-percent from distance as well this season, a number that puts them third in the league.
RECORD WATCH
Senior Morgan Eye boasts an impressive 339 three-point makes in her career thus far (857 att.). Not only is she chipping away at the NCAA Career Three-Pointers record, but she's making incredible progress on the SEC career record. The mark is currently held by Mississippi State's Alexis Rack, who knocked down 340 triples (1057 att.) in her career from 2006-2010. Eye's next three-pointer will tie the SEC career-record, and her second one will break the record and put her in the SEC record books.
Quick Hits
• It's no secret that sophomore Jordan Frericks is Mizzou's weapon on the glass. She is averaging 9.8 rebounds per game and stands as the first Tiger to average more than nine rebounds per game since Kesha Bonds averaged 9.5 rpg in the 1998-99 season.
• #RoadWarrior: In road games this year, Jordan Frericks averages an impressive 19 points and 11 rebounds per game. She accounts for 31-percent of the team's points and 27-percent of the team's rebounds in road games.
• In 21 games this season the Tigers have allowed just three teams to shoot better than 40-percent in a game. In fact, the Tigers have limited opponents to less than 37-percent shooting in 14 of 19 games, winning 11 of those 14 contests. Mizzou has not allowed an opponent to shoot better than 40-percent in 10 of 11 games with the high-water mark in that span coming from Arkansas, which shot 37.1-percent.
• The 47 points allowed by Mizzou against Florida are the fewest that the Tigers have ever allowed in a regular season SEC game since joining the league and match the fewest ever in an SEC game allowed by the Tigers (Mizzou held Vanderbilt to 53 in the SEC Tournament in 2012-13)
• Mizzou has been getting it done with defense so far this season. In fact, in 13 of the Tigers' games this season, they have held their opponents to 60 or fewer points. Of course, Mizzou has won 10 of those 13 contests. Mizzou held its opponents to 60 or fewer points just 11 times last season. In fact, Mizzou has won 19 of its last 23 games when holding opponents to fewer than 60 points (dating back to the start of last season).
• A big reason why Mizzou's defense has been so stingy is the fact that they are limiting opponents to 34.1-percent shooting this season, 2nd in the SEC and the 11th in the nation.
• The Tigers have also made a living on limiting second-chance points this season. In eight games this year, Mizzou has limited its opponent to single-digit second-chance points. The last time coming against Florida in Columbia, when the Tigers allowed the Gators just three second-chance points.
