Mizzou will play 9 SEC games on national TV
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou baseball will be televised nine times through the Southeastern Conference and ESPN's television package this season, including three contests at Taylor Stadium. The television slate was announced Tuesday (Jan. 20) by the SEC league office. The nine games are more than double the amount of Mizzou games that were slated for national television last season. In all, the Tigers' nine TV games will all air on SEC Network with 38 additional SEC Network+ games on the schedule. All nine Mizzou games featured on the SEC Network will be against preseason top-25 competition.
Mizzou fans will first get to check out the Tigers on national TV as they face No. 5 South Carolina on March 21 at 2:30 p.m. on the SEC Network in front of a Taylor Stadium crowd. Next up will be a 1 p.m. game at No. 17 Texas A&M on March 28. Following the battle with the Aggies, all three of Mizzou's games at No. 25 Tennessee (April 9-11) will also air on the SEC Network at 6 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 a.m., respectively.
SEC Network will then return to Taylor Stadium for Mizzou's home series against No. 20 Alabama, televising the April 18 and 19 games against the Crimson Tide. The April 18 game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start while the April 19 game is scheduled for first pitch at noon.
Mizzou's series at No. 9 LSU will also feature a pair of SEC Network games, starting Saturday (May 9) with a 7:30 p.m. first pitch in Baton Rouge. The Sunday game, scheduled for a 2 p.m. first pitch, will also air live on the SEC Network.
