TWEETABLE TIGER TRACKS...
• Mizzou Men's Basketball (7-9, 1-2) returns to Mizzou Arena to face Tennessee in SEC action on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 5 p.m. on the SEC Network.
• The Tigers have been led by sophomore forward Johnathan Williams, III, who is currently averaging 13.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
• Williams averaged just 5.8 points per game in 2013-14, but under head coach Kim Anderson, the Tiger's production has more than doubled.
• The Tigers were topped on the road by No. 1 Kentucky, dropping an 86-37 result on Jan. 13.
• Mizzou's freshman class has accounted for 38.9 percent of the team's minutes through 16 games.
• With the addition of sophomores, underclassmen have been playing 66.4 percent of the Tigers' minutes.
• 7 of Mizzou's top 8 scorers are underclassmen, with Shamburger (8.8) the only exception.
• Shamburger is third in the SEC in free throw shooting, hitting 89.1 percent (41-of-46).
• Senior guard Keith Shamburger scored a season-best 21 points in the setback at Auburn, hitting 5 threes.
• Anderson picked up his first career SEC win with the Tigers' 74-67 overtime win vs. LSU on Jan. 8.
LAST TIME OUT...
• Mizzou (7-9, 1-2) dropped an 86-37 result at No. 1 Kentucky (Jan. 13).
• Sophomore guard Wes Clark scored in double figures for the fifth time in six games, reaching 10 points (4-of-14 FG, 1-of-6 3PT, 1-of-2 FT).
• Senior forward Keanau Post scored in double digits (10) for the second time in three games (LSU on Jan. 8, 12 ponts).
• Senior guard Keith Shamburger logged his 15th game of the season with at least 30 minutes on the floor. He entered the game ranking fifth in the conference in minutes per game (34.1).
• Hampered by the second-best first half shooting performance by an opponent this season (14-of-28), with Oral Roberts on Nov. 19 (13-of-20), Purdue on Nov. 25 (15-of-26) and at Oklahoma on Dec. 5 (14-of-29) the other instances of note.
• Played all 10 players that traveled to the Kentucky game, including the first appearance of the season for redshirt freshman forward Hayden Barnard.
A LOOK AT THE OPPONENT... TENNESSEE
• Tennessee enters its matchup with Mizzou holding a 10-5 overall record and 2-1 mark in Southeastern Conference action. The Volunteers, led by first year head coach Donnie Tyndall, have notched conference victories at Mississippi State (61-47, Jan. 7) and vs. Arkansas (74-69, Jan. 13). UT fell in between the two wins at home to Alabama by a 56-38 score on Jan. 10.
• The Volunteers are led in scoring by senior guard Josh Richardson, who averages 16.4 points per game. Richardson has led Tennessee in scoring in 11 of 15 games this season.
• Richardson leads Tennessee in several statistical categories, including: minutes per game (34.9), field goals made (88), field goals attempted (184), free throws made (49), free throws attempted (62), assists (52) and steals (34).
• One other Volunteer averages double-figure scoring per game in guard Kevin Punter (10.1). He is also second on the team in minutes per game (29.9).
• Mizzou leads the all-time series vs. Tennessee, 5-4, with head coach Kim Anderson playing and coaching against the Volunteers during his previous days in Columbia. Although the Tigers ultimately fell, Anderson contributed five points as sophomore (1974-75) in a 99-77 setback to Tennessee (Dec. 21, 1974).
• Anderson handed a loss back to UT as an assistant coach during the 1984-85 season, with Mizzou winning 70-61 in Columbia.
• Additionally, Mizzou defeated Tennessee in Knoxville in the 1972-73 season, the junior campaign of Gary Link, longtime Tiger Radio Network analyst. "Linker" dropped 13 on the Volunteers to help Mizzou toward a 67-57 win.

• Mizzou head coach Kim Anderson is competing with 47 other NCAA Division I men's basketball coaches for a great cause: a $100,000 donation to charity. Anderson is representing Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbia, Missouri, in the Infiniti Coaches' Charity Challenge, which is a four-round contest driven by online fan voting.
• Mizzou fans and those wishing to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbia, Missouri, can vote for Anderson at www.espn.com/infiniti.
• As an official corporate partner of the NCAA, Infiniti will make total donations throughout the competition of $349,000. As coaches advance throughout the competition, donations totaling $249,000 will be awarded to each of their charities of choice; the farther they advance, the more money the coaches raise. The final winning coach will receive a total of $100,000 to benefit his charity of choice.
• The initial round runs from Jan. 5 - Jan. 25, with the second round of voting cutting the field to 24 coaches.
