GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Mizzou soccer team suffered a 3-1 defeat to No. 7 Florida on Sunday, Sept. 28 at the Donald R. Dizney Stadium in Gainesville, Fla. The loss ended Missouri's eight-match unbeaten streak and dropped the team's record to 7-2-2 overall and 2-1-0 in Southeastern Conference action. The Gators improved to 8-1-0 and 3-0-0.
Florida went up 2-0 with a pair of goals in the opening 45 minutes. The Gators notched their first goal of the match in the 20th minute when Havana Solaun poked a 10-yard attempt into the back of the net.

The Tigers cut their deficit in half with a tally just three minutes into the second half. Senior Taylor Grant played a ball back to freshman Alli Magaletta, who uncorks a 35-yard shot that got behind the Florida keeper and into the right corner of the net. The goal was the second of the year for Magaletta, while Grant earned her first assist of the season on the play.
Florida added its third and goal of the match in the 58th minute for a 3-1 game.
In the 76th minute, redshirt junior Brittany Conley kept another Gator score of the board with prime positioning at the far post. A header attempt from Florida off a corner made it to the left post but Conley, stationed at the post, kicked the attempt out before it crossed the goal line.
