On advancing to the second round of the SEC Women's Tennis Tournament
"It is tremendous for us, honestly. We know that we have had a tough season and have been fighting and felt that we have not gotten out of the season what we put in. So for us to be able to have such great momentum at the end of the season is really tremendous. All along we really felt like we had the team that could make history this year. When we did not have two starters, that was tough. I told our girls when we won this match that we did (make history) because Mizzou has never advanced in the SEC Tournament until today. We are really just happy to have some good memories here at the end."
On what it is like as a coach to see your team collectively perform on a high level
"I felt very calm throughout the match. They were all competitive matches but I really just loved our heart and our fight. We were really determined and I think we really believed in ourselves. I thought we were going to get out of here with the match (victory) today, so I was pretty impressed with the entire team effort."
