
Tigers Finish Sixth at Robert Kepler Invitational

Mizzou Golf wrapped up play at the Robert Kepler Invitational, hosted by Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio, Sunday afternoon, placing sixth out of 15 teams.
The Tigers (+32) topped two ranked teams during their final regular season tournament, besting both No. 31 Kent State (+34) and No. 47 Northwestern (+40), who finished seventh and eighth respectively.
Only two individual competitors and no teams finished under par at the tournament's conclusion. Ranked No. 5 nationally, Georgia Tech (+6) built a substantial lead throughout the early tournament rounds and hung on to take home the team title. No. 18 UAB (+24) finished in second, while No. 36 (+25) Liberty finished third.
Despite getting off to a difficult start in the first round, Emilio Cuartero put together two subsequent rounds of par-71 golf to conclude the tournament. The senior (+4) tied for 10th and concludes his final regular season as a Tiger with an impressive five Top 10 finishes.
Euan Walker (+7) continued to advance in the standings during Sunday's final round of play. The freshman and native of Troon, Scotland, tied for 17th and now has five Top 20 finishes on his young career.
Junior Wilson Sundvold (+14) and freshman Linus Lilliedahl (+14) tied for 41st. Both competitors dropped in the standings during the final round, but put together consistent golf efforts throughout the tournament.
Ryan Zech (+18) played his best round of golf Sunday with a 75, allowing him to advance in the standings. The junior from Kearney, Mo., tied for 61st.
Mizzou Golf begins postseason play at the SEC Championship Friday, April 25 to Sunday, April 27. The conference championship, played at Sea Island, Ga., will be loaded with some of the top collegiate golf talent in the country, as seven of the 14 SEC teams competing are currently ranked in Golfstat.com's Top 25.
