Mizzou Volleyball to Be Celebrated at Women's Basketball Sunday

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The SEC Champion Mizzou volleyball team will hold an SEC Championship trophy celebration at the Mizzou women's basketball game vs. Alabama on Sunday (Feb. 9) at Mizzou Arena. The entire volleyball team will be on hand to sign autographs and take pictures with the SEC Championship trophy, beginning at 1 p.m. on the concourse above the Mizzou student section. Truman and the Golden Girls will be on hand for the event, which will run until tip-off for the women's hoops game at 2 p.m. The first 500 fans through the line will receive a free autograph poster, featuring a picture of the SEC Champion Tigers.
The Mizzou volleyball team had a banner year in 2013. They reset school records for wins, consecutive wins, sweeps, consecutive sweeps and were the first ever SEC team to finish the regular season undefeated. The team finished the regular season with a perfect 34-0 record and claimed the school's first-ever SEC Championship. The Tigers swept all the major SEC awards, including Coach of the Year, Player of the Year and Freshman on the Year.
