Columbia, MO. - Mizzou Women's Golf and head coach Stephanie Priesmeyer are proud to announce the addition of three new tigers to the program for the 2015-16 season. Emma Allen, Cayce Hendrickson and Amanda Kim signed National Letters of Intent to join the Tigers on Nov. 13 and will join the program next fall.
"We feel this one of the strongest classes we have signed," Priesmeyer said. "These three young ladies will represent Mizzou with the highest regard to our core values which are academic integrity, social responsibility and competitive excellence. They are not only great golfers, but they are all straight-A students and they have all been leaders in their respective schools and within their golf teams. We are certainly anxious to get Amanda, Emma and Cayce on campus and see how they develop over the next four years and see how they can help our program reach elite status."
Emma Allen // England Girls Squad
Emma Allen joins the Tigers from the England Training Squads where she had been a member since 2011. She was selected for the England Girls Team for the 2014 Home Internationals, where the Team won for the 7th consecutive year. Allen is ranked 17th in the English Girls (U18) Order of Merit for the 2014 season. She qualified for the match play stages of both the 2013 and 2014 British Girls Championship and was the youngest Hampshire player to win both the Junior and Ladies County Championship in one season (2012) at the age of 15. Allen's best score is a 70 (-2) and has scored a season average of 76.67 and 75.62 in 2013 and 2014, respectively. In 2011, she received the Marriott Meon Valley Golf Club Junior Golfer of the Year, also known as the Jack Nicklaus Award.
"We are really excited to land Emma at Mizzou," Priesmeyer said. "She was a highly recruited young lady that chose our golf program over some great universities and golf teas. Emma has a lot of international experience and she has benefitted greatly from being a part of the England Girls Squad. Emma has a great disposition on the golf course and she is a fierce competitor."
Cayce Hendrickson // Benton, Ky. // Marshall County High School
Cayce Hendrickson comes to Missouri from Benton, Kentucky where she has excelled on and off the course. She was a medalist in three of the five high school team invitationals in 2014 and had a scoring average of 1-under par. Hendrickson was recognized in 2014 as a member Kentucky 2nd Team All-State. Throughout her summers in the AJGA from 2012 to 2014, Hendrickson made the cut and finished in the top 20 in all four events she entered. Along with her commitments to the golf program at Marshall County High School, Hendrickson is involved in the Student Council, Future Business Leaders of America, Track and the Cross Country Team, all which accumulating a 4.36 GPA.
"Cayce has had a great summer and a really solid senior year at Marshall County High School," head coach Stephanie Priesmeyer said. "Cayce keeps improving on her golf game and has a great competitive spirit about her."
Amanda Kim // O'Fallon, Mo. // Fort Zumwalt South High School
Amanda Kim will join the Tigers from O'Fallon, Mo., where she attended Fort Zumwalt South High School. Amanda is the No. 1-ranked player in the State of Missouri and has a high school stroke average of 34.5. Kim shot her best score of 62 this fall at the Falls Country Club during the Summit Tournament. She is currently ranked No. 68 in the Class of 2015.
"Amanda has come on really strong this past year and has improved her strength and length with her golf game," said Coach Priesmeyer. "She is a very disciplined golfer and she has worked very hard with her swing coach, Jeff Mullican out of St. Louis to get her golf game ready for the next level. We look forward to Amanda joining our team and expect that she will make an impact on the lineup right away."
During the summer with the AJGA, Kim had a summer stroke average of 73.66 and her Polo Ranking is 155. She placed 3rd at the AJGA St. Louis Junior, 5th at the Jeff Overton Championship and T-8th at the Bluegrass Junior. Kim has been on the Honor Roll all four years at Fort Zumwalt South and is involved in Writers' Club, DECA and Tae-Kwon-Do outside of the golf program.
