• Head coach Kim Anderson's squad dropped to 5-6 overall with the result, while Illinois improved to 9-3 overall.
• The Tigers fell in the game's final moments as Illinois' Rayvonte Rice hit a last second three-pointer to break a 59-59 tie. The deadlock was forced by Wes Clark, who nailed a midrange jumper from the top of the lane with 18 seconds remaining in the game. Clark finished the contest with 11 points.
• Clark's strong game began with his first start for the Tigers since Mizzou's Nov. 26 game vs. Chaminade at the EA Sports Maui Invitational.

A LOOK AT THE OPPONENT... OKLAHOMA STATE
• Oklahoma State has compiled a 9-2 record through its non-conference schedule thus far in the 2014-15 season. Members of the Big 12 Conference, the Cowboys used the regularly meet Mizzou, with the Tigers holding a 77-41 advantage in the all-time series.
• OSU head coach Travis Ford, in his seventh season, has led his group to a 134-79 overall record. The Cowboys have made the NCAA Tournament four times under Ford (2009, 10, 13, 14), including advancement to the Round of 32 in 2009.
• The Cowboys are led in scoring by a standout tandem of senior forward Le'Bryan Nash and junior guard Phil Forte, who average 17.6 and 16.7 points per game, respectively. The duo attempt the majority of Oklahoma State's field goals, with their combined 240 shot attempts making up 40.1 percent of the team's overall total (594).
• Nash is also OSU's most prolific rebounder with 67 boards, which is 19 more than the next closest OSU player. Nash's 15 offensive boards are actually bested by two teammates in Mitchell Solomon (17) and Michael Cobbins (16).
• Offensive direction is provided by senior guard Anthony Hickey, who has dished a team-best 37 assists. Hickey is also Oklahoma State's second-best deep threat, with 15 three-pointers that only trail Forte's 29.

• Head coach Kim Anderson is familiar with Oklahoma State from his days as a player (1973-77) and as an assistant coach (1982-85 and 1991-99) for the legendary Norm Stewart. As a player, Anderson helped the Tigers go 8-2 vs. the Cowboys, including 3-0 marks in his junior (1975-76) and senior (1976-77) seasons.
