COLUMBIA, Mo. - Head coach Kim Anderson will lead Mizzou Men's Basketball into one final tune-up game ahead of the 2014-15 regular season when the Tigers face UMSL in exhibition action on Saturday, Nov. 8. The game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. tip-off at Mizzou Arena, with live coverage provide on SEC Network+ and through the WatchESPN app.
Gates open at 12:30 p.m. for the contest, and fans can find free parking and a shuttle service at Truman's Landing. Tickets are still available, with seats going for as low as $5. Saturday's game will serve as an arena warm-up for Mizzou's season-opening contest on Friday, Nov. 14, vs. UMKC, which is scheduled for 8 p.m. on SEC Network+.
Fans will get the chance to see Mizzou Arena's new scoreboard hanging above center court, as the system is in the final stages of completion ahead of the Tigers' regular season opener. However, the new video board will not be fully functional until the Nov. 14 contest.
For Mizzou's opening exhibition win (72-31) over William Jewell (Oct. 29), three Tigers scored in double figures and the visitors were held to a 13.6 shooting percentage in the historic Hearnes Center. Sophomore G Wes Clark (Detroit, Mich.) led all scorers with his 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting, including a 2-for-4 mark from 3-point range.
Junior F Ryan Rosburg (Chesterfield, Mo.) and freshman G Tramaine Isabell (Seattle, Wash.) followed up Clark in scoring with 13 and 10 points, respectively. Rosburg also led the Tigers on the glass with eight rebounds (two offensive).
Mizzou heated up the Hearnes with its shooting in the second half of the win, hitting on 15-of-28 field goals for a stout 53.6 shooting percentage as a team.
