
Brianna Lashway Claims Hoosier Classic Singles Title

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Freshman Brianna Lashway claimed her first NCAA event championship, after defeating Indiana's Mary Beth King (6-1, 6-3) Sunday morning at the Hoosier Classic. The third win in three days gave Lashway the singles "Hoosier" draw title.
With her breakout weekend at the Indiana Tennis Center, Lashway improved her Fall 2014 singles record to 6-3. The six singles victories are tied for the most on Mizzou tennis, as she shares the lead with teammate Alex Clark.
Sophomore Beatriz Machado Santos also wrapped up play Sunday, as she dropped a singles match to Morehead State's Andrea LeBlanc (6-0, 6-4).
Mizzou tennis concludes their Fall 2014 season from Nov. 7-9 at the San Diego State Fall Classic. The Tigers then kick off Spring 2015 play on Jan. 17 with a road trip to UT-Arlington.
