Mizzou owns a 5-0 record against the Bulldogs, including a 4-0 mark since joining the SEC. The Tigers have never dropped a set to MSU, including a sweep in the only meeting between the two teams in Starkville, played in 2012. Mizzou swept Mississippi State to open SEC play on Sept. 26. Carly Kan recorded her 12th double-double of the season in that contest, finishing with 14 kills and 10 digs.
Sophomore All-American Carly Kan has been on a tear as of late. After struggling in matches at Ole Miss and Georgia, Kan has been unstoppable over her last three matches, averaging 4.20 kills per set on .324 hitting while pulling in 26 digs in the three matches. She posted her SEC-leading 13th double-double Monday night at UMKC, tallying 19 kills and 12 digs. Kan heating up is bad news for MSU as she posted 14 kills on .542 hitting in the first meeting between the two teams this season.Senior All-American Whitney Little set her 10th school record on Monday at UMKC. She tallied a pair of solo blocks in the loss, moving her career total to 118, passing former Tiger All-American Nicole Wilson who had 117 from 2003-06. She reset the school's block assists record last Friday against Auburn as well.
Both Carly Kan and Loxley Keala posted double-doubles in Monday's loss at UMKC. The sophomore duo from Hawaii ranks 1-2 in the SEC in double-doubles. Kan leads the SEC with 13, three ahead of Keala's 10. Keala is tied with Auburn's Alexa Filley who has nine. Kan had not posted a double-double since Sept. 26 against Mississippi State before doing so Monday and Keala's last double-double before Monday was at Miami on Sept. 20, a span of five matches.Recapping LSU
