Mizzou Faces No. 17 Georgia on Friday, Hosts Alabama Sunday on Senior Day

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou soccer team (9-3-2, 4-2-0 SEC) returns to the pitch this weekend with a pair of conference matches. On Friday, Oct. 17 the Tigers face No. 17 Georgia in Athens, Ga., at 7 p.m. ET. Then, Missouri returns home to Walton Stadium for Senior Day on Sunday, Oct. 19 to host Alabama at 1 p.m. Prior to the match against the Crimson Tide, the Tigers will honor seniors Kaysie Clark, Taylor Grant and McKenzie Sauerwein for their contributions to the Mizzou soccer program.

TIGER TIDBITS
-Tiger Head Coach Bryan Blitz claimed his 200th career win at Mizzou with the Tigers' 4-3 double overtime win over Montana on Sept. 12 and his 250th total career win in a 2-0 defeat of Vanderbilt on Oct. 5. His school record now stands at 205-161-23, while his career head coaching record is 250-205-31.
-Junior midfielder Reagan Russell already has career highs in goals (six), assists (three) and points (15) only 14 games into the season. Her previous career bests were three goals and two assists, set in 2013.
-Four true freshmen (Kaitlyn Clark, Allie Hess, Alli Magaletta and Savannah Trujillo) have found the back of the net for Mizzou this season, which leads the SEC. Additionally, the foursome's combined eight goals ranks second in the SEC for true freshmen (just behind Auburn's nine).
-Three Tigers have earned SEC honors so far this season: senior forward Taylor Grant (Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 15), freshman midfielder Kaitlyn Clark (Freshman of the Week on Sept. 22) and freshman forward Allie Hess (Freshman of the Week on Oct. 6).
-Mizzou earned its first win over a ranked foe in 2014 with a 1-0 victory at No. 14 South Carolina.
-The 2014 Tigers are a family affair, with two pairs of sisters suiting up for Mizzou. Senior Kaysie Clark is joined on the pitch by her sister, freshman Kaitlyn, while freshman Jessica Johnson joins her sister Jasmine, a sophomore, on the squad.
