COLUMBIA, Mo. - 2014 Mizzou wrestling NCAA National Champion, J'den Cox, has been named the Man of the Year by the Missouri Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Cox will take part in this year's Missouri Chapter Hall of Fame Banquet on Sunday, Oct. 26 in Columbia, Mo. In addition to Cox's award, five Lifetime Service Award winners, an Outstanding American Award winner, and the Family Circle Honor will be handed out during the evening's festivities.
The 2014 Missouri Chapter Hall of Fame Banquet begins at 2:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Executive Center. Dinner will be served at 3:00 p.m. with the induction ceremonies immediately afterwards.
Cox, a sophomore from Columbia, Mo., became the fifth all-time National Champion in Mizzou wrestling history last season. At 197 pounds, Cox also claimed 2014 MAC Freshman of the Year and MAC Wrestler of the Year honors following his outstanding freshman campaign.
