Columbia, Mo. - The Chicago Bulls announced today that former Missouri Tiger Kim English has been signed to the team's training camp roster. English, part of the winningest class in school history at Missouri with 107 wins, was drafted in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons and played in 41 games as a rookie.
A native of Baltimore, Md., English was the 41st Tiger drafted in school history and capped his collegiate career by being named the Big 12 Tournament's Most Outstanding Player. He averaged 23.0 points in three league tournament victories and helped the Tigers reach four consecutive NCAA Tournaments.
As a senior, English averaged a career high 14.5 points and 4.2 rebounds for a balanced Mizzou squad, while shooting 52 percent from the floor and 46 percent from beyond the arc.
English is tied with his former teammate, Marcus Denmon, as the MU career record holder for games played (141). In addition, he was a pivotal part of a class that won a school record 107 games in four years, including 31 victories in 2008-09 and 30 in 2011-12.
English finished his career ranked among Missouri's all-time leaders in several statistical categories. He is No. 13 all-time in career scoring (1,570), No. 4 in three-point makes (239) and No. 3 in three-pointers attempted (606).
The 6-foot-6 guard was named a Second Team all-league selection by CBS Sports as a senior and led the conference in three-point percentage (.459). He also ranked seventh in three-point makes (2.2), 10th in steals (1.3) and eighth overall in scoring (14.5).
During his rookie season in Detroit, English averaged 2.9 points in 9.9 minutes a contest. He topped double figures in scoring three times, including back-to-back games against Atlanta and Washington.
