Mizzou Divers to Compete at USA Diving AT&T National Championships

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Three Mizzou divers will compete at this week's 2014 USA Diving AT&T Senior National Championships in Knoxville, Tenn. The meet runs from Aug. 12-17 at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center at the University of Tennessee.

Junior Lauren Reedy will get things started for the Tigers with the synchronized 3-meter springboard preliminaries on Aug 12. She and her diving partner, Texas' Meghan Houston, won the event at the Zone C National Preliminaries in July, scoring 261.90 points. The 3-meter synchro finals take place on Saturday, Aug. 16.

Reedy also qualified for the 1-meter and 3-meter individual competitions. She claimed first in the 3-meter at the Zone C preliminaries behind a score of 280.65. The women's 1-meter and 3-meter dives are slated for Aug. 13 and 15, respectively.

Junior Clark Thomas also qualified for the event and will dive on 1-meter, 3-meter and platform at the meet. He will dive on three consecutive days starting Aug. 13.

Incoming freshman Alexa Beckwith will also compete on synchronized 3-meter with partner Katie Russ. Most recently, Beckwith participated in last week's 2014 USA Diving Junior National Championships, also held at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center, and placed 12th on 1-meter in the 16-18 Girls competition.
