Mizzou Football Fans,
You might have seen or heard about a new tailgating area that is being created beyond the southeast corner of Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field for the 2014 season, and we're excited to tell you a little more about it! This area is being created in the space formerly known as the Amphitheater at Mizzou to provide Tiger fans with a private tailgate experience - either with groups, or individually - within the confines of the stadium. Fans can purchase group tickets for specific games, or individual memberships can be purchased for the entire season.
This brand new tailgate area will give fans access to food buffets, cash bars, live music entertainment and a TV viewing area, among other amenities, and the area will be open pre-game, at halftime, and post-game for a defined period of time. That allows fans to have hassle-free parties to celebrate football Saturdays with all of their friends and families!
Stay tuned to MUTigers.com for upcoming details, as we plan to release more specific information about the site on July 7th. That's also the day we will announce the official name of this area, along with the name of the new upper deck seating structure which will open on the east side of Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field this fall.
We still need your help with the naming of these two areas! We're asking Tiger fans to give us their opinion on some names we're considering using for the areas, and they can register their opinion on www.garypinkel.com. Simply go to the website, and you'll see where you can make your voice heard!
Only 65 days remain until the 2014 season opener against South Dakota State, so don't forget to snatch up your season tickets while you still can! 1-800-CAT-PAWS (884-PAWS in Columbia), or find more information at this page.
