Nebraska vs. Kansas Post Game Notes

Nebraska

  • Sophomore P Emily Lockman is now 8-0 in April and May, allowing one earned run or less in 11 of the last 13 appearances.
  • Lockman (34-10) now boasts a .773 career winning percentage, which currently ranks second all-time in Nebraska history (minimum 30 appearances).
  • 2B Hailey Decker hit an RBI double in the third inning for her 20th two-bagger of 2014. The 20 doubles is the highest output by any sophomore in Nebraska history.
  • Decker has recorded a hit in every contest at the Columbia Regional, extending her current hit streak to 11 games. Decker's 72 hits in 2014 are a team-high.
  • Decker went 2-for-4 at the plate in Saturday's nightcap. She now has 22 career multi-hit games, including two already in the Columbia Regional.
  • Sophomore 1B Dawna Tyson's first hit of the Columbia Regional was a two-out RBI single to left field in the fourth inning.
  • In two outings on Saturday, P Tatum Edwards threw 7.2 combined innings without giving up a hit.

Kansas

  • Junior IF Chanin Naudin recorded her 15th double and came around to score her 24th run of the season.
  • Freshman IF Taylor Dodson posted her 10th RBI of the season with a single to left in the bottom of the fifth frame, plating Naudin.
  • Junior P Alicia Pille struck out five and allowed just one earned run as she finished the 42nd complete game of her career in the loss.
  • Pille now has 473 career strikeouts, which ranks ninth most in Jayhawk history.
