Nebraska

  • Six consecutive Huskers reached base in the first inning en route to a four-run opening frame.
  • The Huskers hit four home runs in the win over Bradley, marking the seventh time the squad has smacked four or more home runs in a single game this season.
  • Nebraska's 65 home runs in 2014 are the most ever by a Husker team in a single season.
  • Senior P Tatum Edwards threw her second career no-hitter in 5.0 dominant innings. She also notched a no-hitter against Boise State on Feb. 23.
  • Sophomore 2B Hailey Decker lifted her 10th home run of the season in the first inning, scoring her 15th run in the last 16 games. Decker currently has a 10-game hitting streak.
  • 3B MJ Knighten went 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run and three RBI. Knighten has 12 multi-hit performances this season. She has 23 RBI over her last 25 games.
  • Tatum Edwards collected her 51st RBI with a base knock in the second inning. She is just the sixth Husker in school history to produce a 50-RBI season.
  • Tatum Edwards went 3-for-4 at the plate. It's just the third time all season she posted three hits in one game.
  • Sophomore IF Alicia Armstrong hit two home runs in the contest, matching her season total. Armstrong now has four long balls on the season.
  • The Huskers are now 33-2 when they score first.
  • Nebraska holds a 4-0 lead in the all-time series with Bradley.

Bradley

  • Bradley's loss concludes its second NCAA Tournament appearance in school history after the Braves captured the Missouri Valley Conference title.
  • Senior P Madeline Lynch-Crumrine finished her career at second on Bradley's all-time list for most innings pitched with 751.3 innings of work in the circle.
