
Mizzou Golf Completes Two Rounds of Play in South Carolina

Mizzou Men's Golf sits in fourth place after two rounds of play at the Wendy's Kiawah Classic. The Tigers (+16) finished Sunday's first round in ninth place after shooting 11-over-par, but rallied to move into fourth heading into Tuesday's finale.
South Carolina has led the 18-team tournament field throughout the competition. The Gamecocks (-7) are the only team under par thus far, leading second place Marquette (+12) and third place Presbyterian College (+13).
From round one to round two, each Tiger golfer improved their place in the standings. Emilio Cuartero has led the Tigers thus far in the competition. The senior captain (-1) is tied for fourth after two rounds with Tomasz Anderson of Jacksonville State and trails the individual leader, Nick Nelson of Marquette, by six strokes.
Euan Walker (+1) dropped one stroke from his first round score and is now tied for 16th, while redshirt sophomore Wilson Sundvold (+6) is tied for 31st.
Hunter Kraus was the most improved Mizzou golfer from round to round. The senior captain (+9) dropped five strokes to move into a tie for 48th. Junior Ryan Zech (+10) is tied for 54th.
The Tigers conclude play Tuesday (Nov. 5) at the Wendy's Kiawah Classic. The final 18 holes will begin at 7:30 a.m. C.T. with a shotgun start.
