- The No. 8/8 Mizzou Tigers improved to 10-1 and 6-1 in Southeastern Conference action with its 24-10 win at No. 24/RV Ole Miss on Saturday, Nov. 23, getting Mizzou to 10 wins for the fourth time in head coach Gary Pinkel's 13-year tenure. The 10-win season for Mizzou is just the fifth in program history.
- Coach Pinkel won his 100th game has Mizzou's head coach with the victory, improving his career record with the Tigers to 100-62. He is within one win of matching all-time program wins lead, Don Faurot, who won 101 games from 1935-42, 46-56.
- The Tigers are 10-1 for the first time since the 2007 season, a season in which Pinkel's group compiled an 11-1 regular season record.
- With the road win, Mizzou improved to 5-0 in road games for the first time since the 1979 season. Former head coach Warren Powers' Tigers won at Illinois (Sept. 15, 14-6), at Ole Miss (Sept. 22, W, 33-7), at Colrado (Oct. 20, 13-7), at Iowa State (Nov. 10, 18-9) and at Kansas (Nov. 24, W, 55-7).
- Mizzou won its sixth conference game of 2013 with the Ole Miss win, getting to six league wins for seventh time in program history and the first time since the 2010 season. Pinkel and the Tigers compiled a 6-2 conference mark in 2010 and a 7-1 conference mark in 2007. Legendary head coach Don Faurot's 1960 (7-0), 1965 (6-1) and 1969 (6-1) squads accomplished the feat.
- Senior QB James Franklin returned to the starting lineup for Mizzou and did not miss a beat, beginning the game passing 8-for-8 for 94 yards. The streak of completions spanned the entire first half, along with one completion to start Mizzou's first 3Q drive.
- Junior TB Henry Josey recorded his 11th and 12th rushing touchdowns of the season, the first to open Mizzou's scoring at 12:15 1Q. Josey's second came at 6:56 3Q to put Mizzou up 24-10. His 12 rushing TDs stands tied for the 11th-best single-season total in Mizzou history.
- Senior CB Randy Ponder matched his career-high in pass break-ups with two against the Rebels, a total he previously recorded in the win vs. Toledo (Sept. 7). Ponder also snagged the fourth interception of his career on a pass from Ole Miss QB Bo Wallace and returned it 17 yards to give Mizzou the ball at 10:01 1Q.
