"Return To Hearnes" Fan Primer

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Missouri Basketball will host Oklahoma City University on Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. in a special "Return To Hearnes" throwback game welcoming home the 1993-94 undefeated Big Eight Championship squad.

Below is a pre-event primer designed to help fans as they attend Friday's event:

PARKING - Parking is open and free to the public. Lot I will be the only lot reserved for game day staff use. All other lots will be accessible for fans. Fans will be required to be out of all parking lots by 10 p.m. on Oct. 25 to begin preparations for the Oct. 26 Homecoming football game vs. South Carolina.
     The southwest potion of Lot M (adjacent to Hearnes Center) will be reserved for fans needing improved accessibility to the Hearnes Center. An ADA hangtag will be required for entry into this area.

ENTRANCES - Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and there are three primary entrances for fans on Friday.

  1. For fans seeking autographs from the 1993-94 team, please enter the building through the southwest doors of the Hearnes Center Field House. This entrance is located nearest the four-way stop at the corner of Champions & Mick Deaver drives.
  2. Fans may also enter Hearnes Center through the East and West entrances.
  3. The North entrance will be held for Mizzou Students.

TICKETS - Tickets to the "Return To Hearnes" contest are free. Commemorative tickets will be passed out at all entrances door and once those tickets are gone, the venue will be at capacity.

FAN SEATING - Seating in A section will be reserved. All seats in Sections B, C and D will be open to the general public. Wristbands will be required for entry into Section A for the game.

STUDENT SEATING - Student seating will be located behind the west basket at Hearnes Center. Zou Crew members will have priority student seating. The priority student seating structure will be similar to games at Mizzou Arena. Reminder, all students will be asked to enter Hearnes Center through the north entrance (nearest Stadium Boulevard).

COMMEMORATIVE TICKETS - Mizzou Athletics has produced a commemorative ticket for the Oct. 25 contest. The first 13,000 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative ticket upon entry. Again, once tickets are gone, the venue will be at capacity.

GAME PROGRAM - Since this is a free event, fans are encouraged to purchase a commemorative game program for $5. A portion of the proceeds from the 20-page program will be donated to Coaches vs. Cancer, which was co-founded by Norm Stewart! Help us sell out of this commemorative program!
     The program features statistics and bio information on the 1993-94 team during their playing days and can be used for autographs.
     Programs will be sold at each entrance, including the Southwest Entrance of the Hearnes Center Field House, where autographs of the 1993-94 team will take place.

AUTOGRAPHS - Autographs with the 1993-94 team will run from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Hearnes Center Field House. The team will need to depart promptly at 6:30 p.m. for pre-game recognitions.

COMMEMORATIVE T-SHIRTS - Be sure to purchase your commemorative T-Shirt celebrating Friday's throwback and the 1993-94 Big Eight Champions!

BE IN YOUR SEATS - Be sure to be in your seats for pre-game festivities starting at approximately 6:30 p.m. Head Coach Frank Haith and the Tigers will honor the return of the 1993-94 team.

THROWBACKS - The 2013-14 Missouri Tigers will wear throwbacks uniforms from the 1993-94 season.

MIZZOU STATS APPLICATION - A new, free, in-game statistical distribution system is in place for Mizzou fans during home events. MizzouStats.com can be accessed from desktop and mobile devices, with the mobile website available to most smart phones and tablets (Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, etc.). The TapStats mobile application used in previous years on iOS devices will no longer be in service.

SMOKING POLICY - As of July 1, 2013, the University of Missouri has become a smoke-free campus. In order to promote an enjoyable game day experience for everyone, smoking is not permitted in Memorial Stadium or in the surrounding parking lots. WEAR GOLD - All fans are encouraged to wear gold to each of the Tigers' games, with the exception of the annual Blackout game. The Tiger Team Store, located on the concourse level of Hearnes Center, has plenty of gold-colored merchandise on sale, with the store opening at 5:30 p.m. Additionally, the Tiger Team Store has produced a special throwback shirt for Homecoming weekend.
