COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou baseball team will look to win the series against Georgia tonight as it will battle the Bulldogs on ESPNU at 7 p.m. (CT) with Tom Hart and Chris Burke on the call. The Tigers won game one of the series last night, 4-0, behind a great start from Rob Zastryzny (Corpus Christi, Texas), who pitched the second complete game shutout of his career. The game tonight will be the Tigers' first nationally televised game this season. Fans can also listen to Tex Little and Hunter Mense call the game on KTGR 103.1 FM/1580 AM and online at KTGR.com. The ESPNU broadcast will also stream online at ESPN3.com.
Tonight, the Tigers will send sophomore righty Brett Graves (St. Charles, Mo.) to the mound. Graves is 0-3 this season but has a very good 3.12 ERA and a 3.00 mark in league play. Graves is second on the team in innings pitched (34.2), and has allowed just 12 earned runs in those games and just nine walks as well. Graves will hope the Tigers can solve Georgia freshman righty Sean McLaughlin, who is 3-2 with a 2.70 ERA this season.
Last night's win for Mizzou snapped a four-game losing streak and was the first-ever game against Georgia in program history. Keaton Steele (St. Joseph, Mo.) hit his first Division I homer, a two-run shot in the top of the fourth inning, and that was all that Mizzou needed to back Zastryzny, even though they added two more runs in the eighth inning. The shutout for the Tigers was their third this season and second against an SEC team.
