COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou tennis team closes out the regular season with a two-game road trip this weekend. The Tigers take on No. 43 Ole Miss on Friday, April 12 at 3 p.m. before a 1 p.m. match against Mississippi State on Sunday, April 14.
The Tigers enter the weekend ranked 51st in the nation and have records of 9-10 overall and 2-9 in Southeastern Conference play. Junior Cierra Gaytan-Leach clocks in at No. 86 in the ITA singles rankings this week. This weekend marks the first time Mizzou has faced both Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
Ole Miss boasts a 13-11 overall mark and a 4-7 record in SEC action. The squad has two players in this week's singles rankings: No. 39 Caroline Rohde-Moe and No. 93 Mai El Kamash. Additionally, the duo of Rohde-Moe and Marija Milutinovic clock in at No. 38 in the doubles rankings.
The Bulldogs are 7-12 overall and 1-10 in SEC play entering the final week of the regular season. In the doubles rankings, the team of Alexandra Perper and Naomi Tran are 73rd in the country.
Following the weekend, Missouri travels back to Starkville, Miss., for the 2013 SEC Women's Tennis Tournament April 17-21 at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre on the campus of Mississippi State.
