COLUMBIA, Mo. - A pair of Mizzou baseball signees for the 2014 season have been recognized as Rawlings/Perfect Game First Team Preseason All-Americans, as announced by Rawlings and Perfect Game this week. Ballwin, Mo., native Jacob Brentz and Florissant, Mo., native Devin Williams were each named to the All-America First Team, comprised of the top 50 players in the nation. Mizzou was one of five SEC teams to land a pair of future student-athletes on the All-America First Team. Brentz is a left-handed pitcher while Williams is a right-handed pitcher.
In addition to Brentz and Williams earning a spot on the All-America First Team, four additional future Mizzou student-athletes earned spots on the Rawlings/Perfect Game All-American High Honorable Mention Team. Brandon Barker (LHP), Jordan Getzelman (OF), Ryan Howard (SS) and Jake Ring (OF) were all named to that team, giving Mizzou a total of six incoming High School All-Americans next season.
