
Mizzou Plays Strong Through Second Round at Ole Miss

Oxford, Miss. - Mizzou Women's Golf remains in third place after the second round of play at the Ole Miss BancorpSouth Rebel Intercollegiate. The Tigers sit 14-over-par after going 298-292--590 in the first two rounds. No. 17 Baylor holds the lead as the team sits 1-over-par. No. 39 Mississippi (+5) is in second place, while Tulsa (+15) and Mississippi State (+19) round out the top five teams. Four Tigers currently hold spots among the top 25 golfers in the tournament as well.
"We had another great day today," head coach Stephanie Priesmeyer said. "Taylor got hot and was very solid today. Hannah was making a lot of birdies too, and had back to back bogeys on her last holes. Otherwise she was pretty flawless. Alina was extremely steady and had placed with tremendous confidence as well."
Both Hannah Lovelock and Alina Rogers are tied for 10th place in the tournament. After shooting a 75 in the first round, Lovelock came back to tally three birdies in the second round for even par. Rogers went 74-73--147 in the first two rounds to sit just 3-over-par.
Marissa Cook is tied for 20th place as she is currently 5-over-par. Cook finished the first round at even par and shot 5-over-par in the second round. Also in the top 25 is Taylor Gohn. Gohn currently sits in a tie for 24th as she is 6-over-par. She finished the first round 8-over-par and recorded five birdies in the second round to score 2-under-par.
Tied for 50th, Ariana Savich sits 11-over-par after the second round of play. She recorded a birdie in each round to score 77-78--155 through the first two days.
