Columbia, Mo.-- Missouri Women's Basketball hosts Kansas State on Saturday, Feb. 25. The game is set for 12 p.m. in Mizzou Arena. The Tigers are teaming up with University of Missouri Health Care this week to promote cardiovascular research. The game will mark the `Heart of a Tiger' game, and the first 500 fans to arrive will receive a free T-shirt.

LAST TIME OUT
The Missouri Women's Basketball team dropped a close overtime contest at Iowa State on Tuesday, Feb. 21. The Tigers fall to 11-15 overall and 1-14 in Big 12 play. Three Tigers scored in the double figures in the game and Mizzou held the Cyclones to just 29.3 percent from the field. Christine Flores led the Tigers with 16 points in the game while two other Tigers - BreAnna Brock and Sydney Crafton - each added 12 points in the losing effort. The Tigers scored more field goals and more 3-pointers than Iowa State, but the Cyclones scored 25 points from the free throw line while Mizzou scored just nine. The Tigers also turned the ball over 17 times in the loss. ISU's Chelsea Poppens scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Cyclones.

UP NEXT
Next up, the Longhorns will come to Mizzou Arena on Feb. 28th. The Tigers will travel to Oklahoma State on March 3 to close out the regular season. The Big 12 Championship will be held from March 7-10 in Kansas City, Mo.

Kansas State is 18-9 this season, coming to Missouri after wins over Oklahoma State and Texas. The team boasts two 1,000-point scoreres this season as both Brittany Chambers and Jalana Childs have surpassed the millenum mark this season. The same starters have held down the fort all season; Brittany Chambers, Jalana Childs, Tasha Dickey, Mariah White and Branshea Brown started and played in each of the team's 27 games. Chambers leads the team with an average of 15.1 points scored per game, and Jalana Childs averages 13.9 as well.

SERIES HISTORY WITH KANSAS STATE
Missouri is 35-45 against Kansas State The two schools first meeting came about in 1976. Missouri dropped 85-41 to Kansas State. Last season the Wildcats snagged a a 60-55 overtime victory over Mizzou at Mizzou Arena. The Wildcats also topped the Tigers 66-63 in Manhattan. The Tigers' last victory over Kansas State was in 2009 in a 52-43 win in Columbia. Missouri traveled to Manhattan earlier this season, and the Tigers fell to the Wildcats, 72-46.

BIG 12 CONFERENCE HISTORY
Missouri is 255-313 in Big Eight/Big 12 series history. The Tigers have winning records over several conference foes including Iowa State and Oklahoma State.
