Tigers Ready for Lady Raiders

Columbia, Mo.-- Missouri Women's Basketball continues conference play on Saturday, as the Tigers host the Texas Tech Lady Raiders. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m., and fans outside of Columbia can catch the game on KTGR radio.

LAST TIME OUT
Mizzou opened conference play against No. 1-ranked Baylor in Waco, Texas, on Jan. 4. The Tigers dropped to the Lady Bears, 90-46. Seniors BreAnna Brock and Christine Flores led the Tigers on the night, both scoring in double figures. Brock put up 14 points on the night, recording six rebounds and an assist as well. Flores also led the team with 10 points, four assists, two blocks and two rebounds.

SCOUTING TEXAS TECH
Texas Tech is 13-0 on the season, coming in at No. 13 in the AP Top 25 poll and No. 17 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. TTU is coming off of a 58-53 victory over Oklahoma State. Kierra Mallard contributed to the Lady Raiders' victory, recording 19 points and 11 rebounds inthe contest. Mallard is averaging 14.2 points per game, leading the team with 184 this season. Casey Morris is another key contributor, averaging 10.0 points per game.

SERIES HISTORY WITH TEXAS TECH
The Tigers are 6-12 against against TTU in program history. The Tigers and the Lady Raiders first met in 1994 in the NCAA Midwest Tournament. The Tigers dropped to the Lady Raiders , 75-61. More recently, the two teams met on Jan. 12, 2011. The Tigers fell 63-56 in the contest.

BIG 12 CONFERENCE HISTORY
Missouri is 254-300 in Big Eight/Big 12 series history. The Tigers have winning records over several conference foes including Iowa State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

APPROACHING THE BIG FIVE-OH
Should senior Christine Flores score in the double figures against Texas Tech, the game will mark her 50th-career double figure scoring game. Flores has accumulated 12 double figure scoring games so far this season, and she recorded 20 in the 2010-11 season.
