Track Wraps up Day One at Walton Combined Events

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou track and field team completed day one at the eighth annual Audrey Walton Combined Events Carnival as former Tiger All-American Nick Adcock leads the decathlon while current Tiger volunteer assistant Liz Roehrig is second in the heptathlon with 3,467 points. Abbie Stechshulte-Norman leads the heptathlon with 3,522 points.
In the men's decathlon, Adcock won all five of the day-one events en-route to his 3,960 points. Matt Clark sits just behind Adcock in second with 3,769 points while current Tiger freshmen Nic Ford and Tim Gillman rank third and fourth, respectively, with 3,632 points and 3,192 points.
In the women's heptathlon, Roehrig won the high jump with a leap of 1.76m (5-9 ¼) while finishing second in the remaining three events while Stechshulte-Norman won each of those events. Former Tiger Fiona Asigbee sits in third with 3,165 and Anne Carlson ranks fourth after day one with 2,881. Current Tiger freshman Morgan Whitson sits in fifth overall after totaling 2,490 points as well.
