Richardson, Clark Head to U-20 Training

As announced by the US Soccer Federation, freshman Dominique Richardson and signee Kaysie Clark will join the U.S. U-20 Women's National Team for its training camp at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The 10-day camp begins April 23 and will help U.S. Soccer Technical Director April Heinrichs prepare a squad for the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Uzbekistan.
"What an absolutely fantastic opportunity for both ladies to showcase their skills on a national stage," head coach Bryan Blitz. "There is nothing like being able to put on that jersey with a US logo on it."
Of the 26 invitees, 11 are in college and the remaining train on the club level. Richardson started every game of the 2010 season, tallying 1557 total minutes and scoring three goals. She was named to the All-Big 12 newcomer team and was recognized by Top Drawer Soccer as one of the Top 100 College Freshmen in the nation.
Kaysie Clark, a member of the 2011 Missouri signing class, currently plays for KC Select Scream, in Kansas City, Mo. In February, Clark and future Tiger Caroline Stanley went to the U-20 National Team Camp in San Diego, Calif. Last year, she played for the U-17 World Cup-qualifying U.S. team and was named a NSCAA High School All-American.
