That great shooting came in spite of its fewest three-point makes of the season. The Tigers hit just three triples in the win.
Head Coach Mike Anderson won his 198th career game as a head coach and is just two wins shy of 200 for his career.
Marcus Denmon was once again a star on Saturday, scoring 25 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the floor. Denmon now has 12 career 20-point games and the Tigers are 11-1 in those affairs (
Denmon has reached double figures in 22 of his last 24 games and has topped 20 points in back-to-back efforts.
Over his last two games Denmon is a combined 18-of-27 from the floor (.667) and is averaging 22.5 points per game.
Ricardo Ratliffe continues to be the front-runner for Big 12 Newcomer of the Year. Ratliffe recorded his fourth double-double of the season with10 points and 10 boards in the victory. Most importantly Ratliffe was a perfect 4-of-4 at the charity stripe and also dished a couple of assists.
Ratliffe has hit for double figures in 10-of-12 Big 12 games this season.
Kim English scored his 1,000th career point on a pair of first-half free throws. English and Denmon are the first set of Tiger teammates to top 1,000-points as juniors in the same season since Rickey Paulding and Arthur Johnson in 2002-03.
