COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou volleyball program was selected for its second consecutive NCAA Tournament and 10th in the last 12 seasons as the NCAA announced its 64-field tournament on Sunday (Nov. 27). The Tigers will play Florida in the opening round at Northern Iowa, who earned the No. 6 national seed. Mizzou played the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament at Northern Iowa last season before advancing to the NCAA Sweet 16.

"This is a great accomplishment for this group, especially considering how young we are," head coach Wayne Kreklow said. "It was a very long season this year and for this group to just continue to get better and get a chance to play in the NCAA Tournament is great for them. I am really looking forward to seeing how we respond next weekend."

With nine underclassmen, the Tigers (21-12, 7-9 Big 12) will be one of the youngest teams in the NCAA Tournament this season. Mizzou will be matched up against Florida of the Southeastern Conference and should the Tigers advance, they will play either Northern Iowa or Niagara in the second round.
