Game Notes vs. Missouri Southern 
COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou basketball team will open its 2011-12 season in Joplin, Mo., on Sunday (Oct. 30) as it will square off in an exhibition game at Missouri Southern State in the One State, One Spirit Classic Presented by Leggett and Platt. The game will tip at 5:47 p.m. and will air live on ESPNU with Mizzou alum John Anderson and Fran Fraschilla providing the call.
The exhibition game was scheduled as a show of support for the Joplin community by the Mizzou Department of Athletics as the city continues to recover from a devastating tornado that hit the area on May 22, 2011. The opening tip is set for 5:47 p.m., the exact time the tornado hit the area back in May. All ticket sales will benefit the relief efforts in Joplin.
