• It was Missouri's second overtime game of the season, with the first coming in a 37-30 loss to Arizona State in the second week of the season...
• Overall, Missouri now has the most overtime games in NCAA history, as this was the 14th time in program history that they've gone into extra time...
• The victory was Mizzou's first on the road against a ranked opponent since they won at No. 12 Oklahoma State, 51-50 in double overtime, on Oct. 25, 1997...
• Senior PK Grant Ressel is unavailable for today's game, due to a right hip flexor strain he sustained in practice this past Sunday (Oct. 23rd). Junior Trey Barrow is in line to handle all kicking duties, including punts, kickoffs, and all placekicks. He would be the first Tiger to handle all four kicking duties since Adam Crossett in 2005. Crossett handled all place kicks that season, going 14-of-20 on FGs, and 39-of-42 on PATs, while he handled 57-of-62 punts on the season (42.7 avg.) and all 77 kickoffs on the year...
• Mizzou's defense continued its success in early-game situations, holding the Aggies to a pair of 3-and-out possessions to start the game. In 8 games this year, opposing offenses have scored only one time in their game-opening drive (Kansas State went only 21 yards for a TD after an INT). Four of the seven instances saw opponents held to a 3-and-out...
• The Tiger offense capitalized on its 2nd drive of the game, benefiting from a short field, and took a 7-0 lead at the 7:56 mark on a 20-yard run by QB James Franklin. It was Franklin's team-leading 9th rushing TD of the year, and it capped a 9-play, 56-yard drive that consumed 3:57 of clock time. The Tigers converted on a 4th-down try early on to extend the drive, and Franklin's scramble came on a 3rd down play...
• After Texas A&M drove for a game-tying TD, the Tigers went right back downfield and took a 14-7 lead with 0:02 seconds left in the quarter, as Franklin hit sophomore TE Eric Waters on a 42-yard catch-and-run touchdown. It was just the 2nd catch of his season/career, with his other grab coming this season against Western Illinois (4 yards)...
• It was Franklin's 12th passing TD of the season, giving him at least 1 passing TD in 7-of-8 games thus far (@ Kansas State the only exception)...
• A&M responded with TDs on three consecutive 2nd quarter possessions to take a 28-14 lead, but the Tigers closed with a nice drive which ended in a 26-yard Trey Barrow field goal at the gun to make it 28-17. It was Barrow's first collegiate field goal attempt, and capped a 10-play, 66-yard drive that took all of the final 3:11 of the half...
• Mizzou had been outgained 184-to-0 in total offense in the quarter prior to that last drive, as the Aggies took all three possessions for TDs, while MU went 3-and-out on its first two drives...
• A&M was hard to stop on 3rd down, as the Aggies converted 7-of-9 3rd-down attempts in the first half, including 4-of-4 in the 2nd quarter...
• Mizzou's defense made a big play to thwart an Aggie scoring threat as CB Randy Ponder forced a fumble that was recovered by LB Luke Lambert on the Mizzou 31-yardline at the 9:27 mark of the 3rd quarter. It was the 1st forced fumble of Ponder's career, and the 3rd fumble recovery of the season for Lambert, who has 3 of the 5 recovered fumbles this year for Mizzou...
• After driving deep into Aggie territory, the Tigers gave the ball right back when TB Henry Josey was stripped of the ball after a nice gain, with A&M recovering on their 16-yardline. It was the first fumble of the season for Josey, and only the 2nd lost fumble in his career (lost a fumble at Texas Tech in 2010)...
• The 3rd quarter ended with the score standing at 28-17, and Mizzou holding the ball for a 2nd-and-3 at the A&M 45-yardline...
• Unfortunately, a false start to open the 4th pushed the Tigers back to midfield. An option play didn't net any yardage for Mizzou on second. On third Franklin rumbled for seven yards to make it 4th-and-1, but the Aggies D held and forced a turnover on downs...
• After struggling to get pressure on the QB all game long, Brad Madison finally got to A&M's Ryan Tannehill early in the fourth quarter, hitting his arm on a pass attempt. The deflected ball was intercepted by Ponder for his first career interception. Ponder returned the ball down to the Aggie 30 yard line...
• From there, Missouri needed just three plays to cut the A&M lead to 28-24. Josey ran for 18 yards on first down and four on second, setting up an 8-yard score by Franklin on an option. It was Franklin's 9th rushing score of the season...
• The Tiger defense was able to force a 3-and-out on the next possession and would take over on their own 21...
• Missouri put together their second straight scoring drive, covering 79 yards on six plays in 2:55. Josey shined on the drive, rushing for 43 yards on the first play, five yards on 2nd-and-long and scoring on an 11-yard scamper...
• A&M was able to tie it on the next drive with a 35-yard field goal, but the Tiger D was impressive deep in their territory to keep the Aggies out of the end zone...
• Mizzou would drive down into Aggie territory and looked to convert a crucial 4th-and-1 play with a pitch to Josey, but a holding call on the outside edge negated the play and forced the Tigers to punt...
• Texas A&M had moved into Mizzou territory with under a minute left, but DE Jacquies Smith forced his first fumble of the season, which was recovered by DT Dominique Hamilton. It was Hamilton's second recovery of the season...
• From there, Franklin found Moe for 17 yards on first down near the sideline. With 11 seconds left, Franklin then hit Lucas for a 10-yard gain to the A&M 28, setting up a 45-yard attempt by Barrow. The kick sailed wide-right, sending the game to overtime...
• In OT, Texas A&M won the toss and elected to start on defense. The Tigers picked up a quick first down after an eight yard run by Josey and a four yard run by Franklin. After the next two plays netted just two yards, Franklin threw a perfect fade route to Marcus Lucas, who went up and snagged the ball for the touchdown, giving Mizzou their first lead since the 1st quarter...
• On the A&M rebuttal, a seven yard pass on 2nd down made it 3rd-and-2 for the Aggies. They tried to pitch the ball outside on third down, but Sheldon Richardson and Brayden Burnett sniffed the play out and dropped the Aggie for a loss of three...
• On the 4th down play, Hamilton tipped Tannehill's ball at the line of scrimmage, securing the win for the Tigers...
• Josey finished the game with 162 yards on 20 carries for an 8.1 average, including a score. It was his fifth 100-yard game of the season and second in as many games...
• Franklin accounted for four touchdowns on the day, picking up two through the air and scoring another two on the ground. He went 16-for-24 for 198 yards passing and carried the ball 24 times for 97 yards with two touchdowns...
• Lucas had his most productive game yet, hauling in five passes for 65 yards. The touchdown was his second of the season and first since the opening week...
