Thoughts on today's ballgame:
"Generally the team with the fewest mistakes is going to win. We just had a lot of mistakes; we had a few chances to get back in it and we just couldn't get it done."
On playing catch-up for most of the afternoon:
"You know we had our opportunities. Against a team like this, a really, really good football team, we have to take advantage of every single opportunity, and we have to make it work to your advantage for you. We just didn't do that today."
On running the ball and Henry Josey's production:
"You have to look at the turnovers; I think we had four today and you just can't do that. You're going to put yourself in a difficult situation. We got back in it a little bit at the end in the fourth quarter but then we turned the ball over. You have to take advantage of the opportunities that are given to you."
On Oklahoma State's explosive offense:
"I give them a lot of credit, they're a really good football team. Again I think we just have to play better, and that's my job."
On going on the road against Texas A&M next week:
"We're going to work hard this week. We have a lot of frustrated players in here, and the bottom line is that you've got to play better. You play better and you're not going to be as frustrated. And that starts with me, and goes down to our staff, and falls down to our players."

MU Player Quotes

On losses to four ranked teams:
"We just have to go back to practice and find a way to get games done."
On the keys to the run game:
"It came down to the offensive line. They know us as a passing team and we attacked them with the run which helped us out a lot."
On goals for the rest of the season:
"Just to finish the season off strong and get better everyday, thats all we can do at this time."
CB Randy Ponder
On the outcome of the game:
"You have to deal with adversity and the way you respond to it determines the outcome of the game."
DE Jacquies Smith
On the adjustments in the second quarter:
"We adjusted at halftime and played a little better, but we didnt make enough plays."
On Missouri's defense against the run game:
"We had gaps in fundamentals and things of that nature, we got them out of throwing the ball and they started running it. We didn't stop it, simple as that."
On the mental state of the team, being under .500:
"We just have to go back to work and we have to continue to work in order to get to where we want to be. There are still a lot of games left to be played. We just have to win, simple as that, prepare to go out there and win."

Opening Statement:
"Obviously it was a great win for us. There were times during the game when we were short handed, we had a few players get banged up. We had a couple players who actually got hurt in practice this week and weren't able to start the game. Our team has been very resilient and I thought our defensive coach made a great adjustment at halftime. Offensively, we were rolling there pretty good for a while. We went into a low, and then began to pick it up again. At the end of the game when there are seven minutes left, and we have the ball, we need to be a little more aggressive and run the offense. Our defense continued to force turnovers in the second half and make a way for our offense to score. Overall I'm very proud of the team."
On Justin Blackmon's injury:
"He got a ding in the head. He could have played in the second half. There was just no reason to put him in when we were ahead by two touchdowns, we weren't going to put him back in there. It was important to us and I know it was important to him. It was just a precautionary measure we decided to take, it was best to keep him out."
On winning nine road games in a row:
"I just think our team plays with a lot of confidence. We have a number of guys who have been in battles and who have had a lot of success. We have been fortunate, we had people like Isaiah Anderson, who stepped up in a full time role today and probably played better than he has ever played. It's interesting how young men will play when they know they have to play."
On team chemistry:
"They're just good kids, they play unselfish football. We asked our offense to do that in August because we had so many great playmakers and they decided that moment that they would have to play unselfish football. Some teams stay poised and continue to rally and some don't. These guys do and I hope that's something that has been instilled in them over the years, that you have to keep playing. The good thing is that when have so many good players on a team, they know things are going to be okay."

QB Brandon Weeden
On the game:
"I think during the first half Missouri had a bit more momemtum. They scored a couple of times during the half and made it a seven point game. Overall, I think we played great. We made an adjustment from last week. We had a couples of recievers who let some balls hit the ground as far as drops, but thats going to happen so we're not too worried. I think overall we did some good things. We need to run the football and pound it a little more. Our guys up front really stepped up and our backs did great."
On injuries effecting the team:
"Honestly, as a quarterback, you stop worrying about that kind of thing. We have other guys that I expect to step up. We've got backups. I've told you guys all along. We're too deep so today is some guys time to shine. Justin Blackmon could have played, but we need him for the rest of the season. It's a head injury, you just don't really want to mess with something like that."
On team effort:
"We had a total team effort. Defense got turnover like usual. It was a good win for us. We were firing off all cylinders and we have to get first downs. When we got first downs last week, we put together drives to score. The times we didn't today we went three and out, but we also had long drives."
DE Jamie Blatnik
On game preparation:
"They gave us what we have been working on all week. When we see what we have prepared for it works out for us."
On how they win on the road:
"We like road games. We like to travel. We like to come out and see the scenery. I mean it's one of those things where teams get worked up on the road but we like it. We like being out on the road we look forward to it."
WR Michael Harrison
On stepping up during injuries:
"We had a few injuries but in practice when someone goes down another person steps up. I was ready for it, I'm always ready for it."
On confidence after nine straight road wins:
"We just look at it as a game. We don't look at the fan in the stadium we just play football. We just keep playing the next play, that's all we do."
