Mizzou Basketball Post Game Notes
- The win for the Tigers is their 13th straight home win to open the season. Missouri went 10 in non-league play and is now 3-0 at home in Big 12 action.
- Mizzou is nearly unblemished at home since the end of the 2007-08 campaign, winning 48 of its last 50 home games.
- Laurence Bowers finished with three steals, a new season-high. His previous high was two, a mark he has reached in five different games throughout the season.
- Marcus Denmon finished with 13 points on 6 of 11 shooting. He has now scored in double figures in 16 straight games.
- Five players finished in double figures for the Tigers-- Ricardo Ratliff e (12), Michael Dixon (15), Marcus Denmon (13), Justin Safford (11), and Kim English (12). Missouri is one of just four teams nationally with five players averaging double figures in scoring (Iowa State, Wake Forest, and Long Beach State round out the group.)
- Iowa State's 18 turnovers were their most of the season. The previous high came against the University of California on December 24 (17). The Tigers also held the Cyclones to 19-of-70 shooting-- a 27% field goal percentage that is their lowest mark of the season. The Cyclones previously shot 33% at Northern Iowa.
- Kimmie English had four assists against Iowa State against just one turnover, bringing his total for the season to 49. Just five games into conference play, English has already surpassed his assist totals in each of the last two seasons. English finished the 2009-10 season with 39 assists, and the 2008-09 season with 42.
- Missouri held the advantage on the boards as well, outrebounding Iowa State 61-38. The +23 rebounding rate is the second-best mark of the season for the Tigers, and their best against Division I opponents. The Tigers' previous high was a 44-32 effort against North Florida back in November. Their 61 rebounds are a season-high for the team, also set against North Alabama.
- Mizzou had all-11 players score, including Jarrett Sutton who dropped in a trey late in the game.
- Michael Dixon tied his career rebounding high in just the first half of play, grabbing six boards. He finished the game with eight.
